The compulsory school day
At Durdan’s Park Primary School, the compulsory school day begins with registration at 9:00 am and ends at 3.30 pm when pupils go home.
This means that in a typical school week, pupils must be at school for 32 hours and 30 minutes.
This does not include any extracurricular activities that a pupil may choose to participate in.
The normal school day is broken down as follows:
Nursery
8.45 am – 11.45 am
12.30 pm – 3:30 pm
Reception
9:00 am – 12:00 am
1:00 pm – 3.30 pm
Key Stage 1
9:00 am – 12:00 am
1:00 pm – 3.30 pm
Key Stage 2
9:00 am – 12:00 am
1:00 pm – 3.30 pm
Soft start
At Durdans Park we offer a soft start to the school day, this means that children can come into class from 8.45 am which gives them time to settle down and prepare for the school day.
